Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to bookings made through the EV Repair Specialist service-store. By placing an order or booking a service, you agree to these terms.
1. About Our Services
EV Repair Specialist provides mobile electric vehicle services, inspections, diagnostics, battery health checks and certificate-style reports.
Unless agreed otherwise, we come to you and carry out the booked service at your home, workplace, seller’s address, dealer premises or another suitable location.
The vehicle must be accessible, safe to work around and located somewhere we can legally and safely inspect it.
2. Mobile Appointment Requirements
You must make sure that:
the vehicle is available at the agreed appointment time
the vehicle has sufficient charge for the service or inspection
the vehicle can be unlocked and accessed
any required keys, locking wheel nut keys or charging equipment are available
there is enough safe space around the vehicle
parking permission is available where needed
the location is safe and legal for mobile work
If we cannot carry out the service because these requirements are not met, a call-out, cancellation or rebooking charge may apply.
3. Service Area
Our standard prices include travel within our normal service area. If your location is outside our standard coverage area, an additional travel charge may apply. We will confirm this before attending where possible.
4. EV Servicing
Our EV servicing packages are designed for fully electric vehicles only unless stated otherwise.
The EV Service Without Cabin Filter does not include cabin filter replacement.
The EV Service With Cabin Filter includes a standard cabin/pollen filter supplied and fitted. Specialist filters, non-standard filters, manufacturer-specific filters, dual-filter systems, difficult access fitments or filters requiring additional parts/labour may cost extra. We will advise you if this applies.
5. Diagnostics and Inspection Results
Diagnostics, inspections and battery health checks are based on the condition of the vehicle at the time of testing and on the information available from the vehicle, diagnostic equipment and visual checks.
A diagnostic scan or inspection does not guarantee that every present or future fault will be identified. Some faults are intermittent, hidden, developing, dependent on driving conditions or only visible after further dismantling or specialist testing.
6. Battery Health Certificates and Reports
Battery health certificates and inspection reports are provided as professional assessment documents based on available data at the time of the check.
Battery state of health, estimated range, capacity and related values may vary depending on vehicle model, software, temperature, state of charge, driving history, battery management system data and manufacturer limitations.
Reports and certificates are not a vehicle warranty, insurance product or guarantee of future battery performance.
7. Pricing
Prices shown in the service-store are the standard advertised prices for the listed service. Additional charges may apply for:
extra travel distance
parking, congestion or access charges
extra diagnostic time
additional parts
specialist filters
additional work requested during the visit
missed appointments or failed access
Any additional work or charge will be explained before we proceed where practical.
8. Payment
Payment must be made through the service-store or by another agreed payment method. Bookings may not be confirmed until payment or deposit has been received.
9. Cancellations and Rebooking
If you need to cancel or rebook, please contact us as soon as possible.
Where a booking is cancelled at short notice, or we have already travelled to the appointment, a cancellation or call-out charge may apply.
For online bookings, customers may have cancellation rights under UK consumer law. For services booked online, customers generally have a 14-day cooling-off period, but if you ask us to begin the service within that period, you may need to pay for work already carried out. If the service has been fully completed at your request, cancellation rights may no longer apply.
This wording is based on GOV.UK guidance for online and distance selling, which says businesses must provide cancellation information and may charge reasonable costs where a service has started within the cancellation period at the customer’s request: GOV.UK online and distance selling.
10. Missed Appointments
If we attend the agreed location and cannot complete the service because the vehicle, keys, access, parking or customer contact is unavailable, the appointment may be treated as a missed appointment. A rebooking or call-out fee may apply.
11. Vehicle Condition and Safety
We may refuse to carry out work if the vehicle or location is unsafe. This includes, but is not limited to, unsafe parking, severe weather, restricted access, damaged high-voltage components, exposed wiring, accident damage or any situation that creates a risk to our technician, the customer or the public.
12. Customer Responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to authorise inspection or work on the vehicle. If the vehicle belongs to someone else, you must have their permission before booking.
13. Limitations
Our services are inspections, diagnostics, checks and servicing based on the booked package. They do not replace manufacturer recalls, MOT testing, insurance inspections or full workshop dismantling unless specifically agreed.
We are not responsible for faults that develop after the appointment or faults that were not reasonably detectable during the booked service.
14. Reports for Buying and Selling
Pre-sale inspections and battery certificates are intended to support buyer and seller confidence. They do not guarantee the sale of a vehicle, guarantee a sale price, or replace the buyer’s own decision-making.
15. Changes to Bookings
We may need to rearrange an appointment due to weather, traffic, parts availability, technician illness, safety concerns or circumstances outside our control. If this happens, we will contact you to arrange a suitable alternative.
16. Contact
For booking questions, cancellations, rebooking or service queries, please contact EV Repair Specialist using the contact details provided on our website or service-store.
