What the service records

A certificate for the battery, without pretending the vehicle is present.

The test record is built around the loose pack and the evidence available on the bench. Vehicle registration and donor VIN can be added when known, but they are not required to identify or certificate the battery.

Physical identity

Manufacturer, model, part number, serial number, chemistry, rating-label photograph, pack photograph and any known donor details.

Measured evidence

Available pack voltage, SOC, SOH, capacity evidence, insulation and resistance readings, module spread, temperature data and recorded test conditions.

Diagnostic observations

Available BMS communication, fault codes, contactor and pre-charge observations, cooling or leak checks, and charge/discharge test results.

Do not deliver, courier or ship a high-voltage battery without speaking to us first.
Loose lithium batteries can require specific dangerous-goods classification, packaging, documentation and transport arrangements. Damaged, leaking, swollen, overheated or otherwise suspect packs need particular precautions. Do not open, energise or attempt to test a pack unless you are trained and equipped for that work.

Useful before repair or reuse

Record condition before deeper diagnosis, module work, sale, reuse planning or a decision about whether further investigation is worthwhile.

Clear limits

An off-vehicle result is not a roadworthiness test and does not automatically confirm compatibility, installation suitability, transport status, warranty or future life.

Questions about offline battery testing

Do I need the car or registration?

No. This service is designed for a battery pack outside the vehicle. Known donor details help provide context, but the certificate identifies the pack using its own markings and photographs.

Does every battery allow every test?

No. Access, BMS communication, state, connector condition, manufacturer information and safe operating limits vary. The certificate records what was tested and any limitations.

Does a pass mean the pack can be fitted to any vehicle?

No. Compatibility, programming, mechanical condition, installation requirements and manufacturer procedures are separate matters.

Can I simply send the pack by courier?

Please contact us first. Transport requirements depend on battery type and condition, and damaged or defective lithium batteries can require special arrangements.
